Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is a theatrical take on the obscure, cult classic film of the same name. This show was filled to the brim with fast costume changes, hilarious visual gags, and (above all else) CAMP.

A major challenge was tackling all of the quick changes and shared roles. This meant we could not paint the Martian actors' skin green as in the source material. I felt this was an exciting opportunity to play with wigging to differentiate human from alien and to pay homage to the green many of us associate martians with. The wigs also became a major source of physical comedy and characterization for these characters.
